LEX AI is not a single AI chatbot — it's an orchestrator with 86+ specialized tools. Each tool does something specific: searches a registry, retrieves a law article, calculates deadlines, checks sanctions. The AI only decides which tool to call and formats the response.
We compiled 66 queries (one per tool) and 20 complex queries (2–3 tools at once). All designed for minimal LLM involvement — maximum precision, minimum token cost.
How It Works
When you write a query in LEX AI chat, the system:
- Classifies intent — determines what you want (search, calculation, analysis)
- Selects tool(s) — the most relevant from 86 available
- Executes — direct query to database, registry, or API
- Formats — AI minimally processes the result for readability
The more precise your query, the less the AI "thinks" and the faster the response.
